My belief is that a person has found the right career when an eight hour day goes by like a four hour day,
and at the end of those eight hours- you still want to keep working.
This is how I feel about working as an artist.
As I have proven to every employer I've worked for, I am the type of person who believes in giving 150% effort,
and will work whatever time is needed to get the job done right. My past few jobs have allowed me to take on a leadership
role. In that role, I worked nights, weekends, and even overnight on occasion to ensure that deadlines were met, and
the project was done right. In doing so, I earned the respect of management and my co-workers as a person who was
willing and able to go that extra mile for them. In addition, I sought out ways to make improvements to increase
productivity and performance within the department. Being known as someone that your co-workers can depend on means
a lot, and when a manager stops you in the hall or at a company picnic to tell you how genuinely impressed they are with
your work and effort, it feels just as good as receiving a raise.
I am currently working as a 3D artist.
While I have continued to work mostly in hard-surface modeling, I have had the opportunity to work on low-poly modeling.
I have also furthered my training and skills in After Effects and animation.
Software I know and currently work with: 3ds Max, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
I also know basic info about Premiere, InDesign, Dreamweaver, AutoCAD, but I do not use that software everyday.
Other skills I have: acting, voice-overs, TV & film production, writing, storyboarding, animation, and HTML/CSS.
